Les Habitations Ararat

Alternatives assisted Ararat Habitations in developing their kitchen garden project. Ararat Habitations are homes for the elderly and disabled in the city of Laval.

Wooden containers were made available to fifteen gardeners so they can grow their fruits and vegetables. Alternatives aided in the design and installation of the site and provided workshops on gardening in an urban context and healthy cooking techniques. These workshops also gave the opportunity for residents to share their skills and knowledge in horticulture.
